MISSION

A Sangguniang Bayan that is more pro-active, development-oriented, participative legislative process, responsive, transparent and effective legislative body of the Municipality of Alabat that will ensure better quality life of the people.

VISION

To realize and achieve the stated shared Vision, we are committed to:

• enact relevant ordinances and approve resolutions for certain priority concerns and actions of the Local Government Unit that will benefit the greater number of the stakeholders;
• develop an information-based legislative agenda or policy measures for development legislation;
• ensure check and balance in both legislative and executive branches to enhance good governance and make informed decisions on issues that will lead to a well thought of policy formulation;
• participate and contribute to the intelligent debate and discussions of proposed policy measures;
• create mechanism involving the civil society and the government to formulate necessary strategies to carry our this mission including conduct of researches and public hearings;
• support the executive agenda development such as:
  
  • approves executive development plans
  • grants authority to the Local Chief Executive
  • approves budgetary appropriations
  • authorizes expenditures
